One of our clients, The Atlantic Club, is developing a new model that caters to the “minnows” of the casino instead of the “whales” that delight in making thousand-dollar bets. The casino has a higher percentage of penny slots than any other casino in Atlantic City, low limits for table games, and the cheapest chips in Atlantic City history. Experts are saying that other casinos may try to imitate this new model, which is no surprise since it may lure patrons from the successful Pennsylvania casinos. Additionally, The Atlantic Club’s comp program is becoming a big hit! They have partnered with local businesses so that patrons are able to spend their “comp” dollars at places like “The Walk” and Casel’s Marketplace. Hi All! I had the chance to measure some web site analytics after three weeks of data. We are now getting a 32% increase in conversion over the old site. This is based on orders vs. unique daily visits by comparing two three week periods before and after the site change. The increase was attributed to cleaner design and easier navigation, bug fixes for IE 8 and 9 as well as combining the standard and specials lists into one. Andrew and I would like to thank everyone involved for this very successful launch. We have redone our website in the past several times, but never got any real measurable effect on conversion until now. Mark mark@nushield.com
